The Claims Coordinator will assist the Team Leader and Claim Analysts by reporting claims to the carriers, setting up claims in EPIC, following up with carriers for claim information, sending acknowledgements to clients, handling claim acknowledgements from carriers, working on loss run projects and other projects as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will report losses to carriers based on procedures
  • Set claims up in EPIC, attach documents, create claim notes and activities based on procedures
  • Follow up with carriers, both verbally and on-line to update EPIC claim files with missing information, including but not limited to: Claim number; handling adjuster name and contact information and so forth
  • Sending acknowledge letters and/or emails to clients alerting them that a new claim has been reported and providing information about their claim, their NFP Claims Analyst, carrier claims adjuster and so forth
  • Assist in creating EPIC reports, claims and large loss reporting
  • Run ad hoc reports as needed
  • On occasion may interact with clients, carriers, third party administrators, producers, AE’s and others to advocate on behalf of our clients
  • On occasion assist Team Leader and/or Claims Analyst to conduct research on coverage to address claim issues that arise to obtain the best outcome for the client
  • On occasion assist Team Leader and/or Claims Analyst with white papers on topics clients are facing

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Four-year college or university degree preferred
  • 1 year of claim processing and/or claim customer service preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • EPIC system knowledge preferred

The base salary range for this position is $40,000 – $60,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
