Essential Functions

  • Generates and audit monthly bills for assigned clients, correcting errors and resolving all concerns
  • Performs premium reconciliation audits on monthly carrier bills and communicate with CSRs and Account Managers on discrepancies
  • Interprets group and carrier billing rules accurately for new clients, and annually during open enrollment
  • Honors Salus Group’s reputation for excellent client service by partnering with Enrollment and Account Managers to consistently exceed Client Service expectations
  • Independently research and investigate complex billing issues either internally or with insurance carrier
  • Helps to articulate and attain annual Billing Department goals
  • Contributes to weekly Billing Department meetings, suggesting ways to continually improve the processes and systems that underpin our success

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two to three years billing experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Organized and fastidious
  • High level of interpersonal skills; able to handle sensitive and confidential information

Desired Qualifications

  • Benefits/insurance experience
  • Considerable knowledge of carrier policies and procedures
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros)

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $56,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
