The Program Manager of BI & Analytics will work closely with enterprise global retail customer executives to identify and prioritize business needs, develop requirements, create and deliver strategic insights to support leadership initiatives. This individual will build and manage a services-based program from the ground up that will drive delivery of data-centric reporting to quantify the impact virtual merchandising has on retail performance.

The Program Manager of BI & Analytics will be the technical data transformation subject matter expert (SME) and incorporate external customer & delivery partner data to support point-in-time and historical trend analysis to advance customer stakeholders from reactive to predictive operations. *This role reports to the VP of Customer Experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design the strategic BI services offering, help select a data transformation specialist and determine the tools required to support program deliverables
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with all levels of customer stakeholders to document and study system interactions, data usage, and operational workflows
  • Engage with customer executives to understand business use cases, inputs, and decision-making processes
  • Identify opportunities to provide strategic value by developing and delivering data-driven action items and recommendations
  • Work with the internal application development team and dedicated technical resource to translate requirements
  • Oversee the design and implementation of the data extraction and transformation required to support a data model that can be scaled across customers
  • Implement data governance processes, harmonize/standardize digital tools, automate backend processes, and maintain data models
  • Design, build, and launch sophisticated data-focused reporting and visualizations that provide customers to increase the effectiveness and reliability of strategic visual merchandising decisions
  • Thoroughly document all internal operational and data design in relation to the the services program
  • Provide quality assurance – oversight, monitoring, report results
  • Stay current with native application functional and database changes to maximize inclusion of additional data points

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in BI and Analytics
  • Ability to engage & consult with external customer decision-makers, design value-add reporting, understand business use cases, and translate requirements to support the design of scalable data transformation is critical
  • Strong experience in end to end creation of NEW data analytics processes, requirements gathering, solution design, QA, debugging, and documentation
  • Experience in data profiling, data quality, and root cause analysis
  • Experience translating business objectives and questions into data architecture, critical metrics, and reporting requirements
  • Experience with data architecture, defining and maintaining data assets, and developing data architecture strategies to support reporting and data visualization tools
  • Ability to communicate analysis results and impact to technical/non-technical audiences
  • Data visualization experience in tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Python/R libraries, or similar tools
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with a solid understanding of Python, R, Tableau, and other tools
  • Proficiency with cloud environments such as Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS
  • Working understanding of Agile methodologies and principles such as Scrum, LEAN, Kanban
