We are seeking a strong & seasonedSenior Accountantwith a minimum 2 years of Big Four experienceto own all general accounting activities. TheSenior Accountantwill manage all aspects of A/R and revenue recognition functions, enhance accounting processing and controls, make recommendations, assist with implementation, and support the annual financial statement and bank audits.

This is a high-visibility role focusing on data integrity and ensuring flawless attention to detail and proactive communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense related entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Maintain general ledger accounts by verifying, resolving discrepancies, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions
  • Recognize & record revenue and capitalize costs associated with ASC 606 & ASC 340
  • Prepare period over period variance analyses with fluctuation explanations
  • Assist in period-end financial statement and tax support preparation
  • Conduct research, analysis and prepare ad hoc reports, as needed
  • Prepare and send invoices to customers
  • Process customer payments and credits
  • Handle customer billing disputes and collections
  • Respond to inquires and work with customers ensuring outstanding service and experience
  • Special projects and opportunities as needed

​QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in business, accounting or related discipline
  • CPA and/or Public accounting audit experience required, Min. 2 years of Big Four experience
  • 3-5 years of progressively more responsible accounting experience that includes month-end close and financial preparation preferably in a SaaS environment
  • ASC 606 & ASC 340
  • Thorough understanding of the basic principles of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting theory, especially SaaS/subscription revenue recognition
  • Proficient in Netsuite, and knowledge of other financial software programs
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including advanced Excel (e.g., Sumifs, Vlookups, Pivot tables)
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Stellar communicator, proactive, resourceful, independant, and can wear mutiple hats
  • Keen analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborator with ability to work cross-functionally within the organization
