MuleSoft Integration Developer & Architect
About the role
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated MuleSoft Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in developing, deploying, and managing MuleSoft integrations and APIs, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and performance. This role requires technical leadership, hands-on development, and a deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns.
Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with preference to those with active security clearance or are eligible for obtaining security clearance. This requirement ensures that all team members are cleared to handle sensitive information and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security in our operations.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Lead and guide the development team in implementing best practices for MuleSoft development
- Create and maintain APIs, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality guidelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, providing timely support to ensure smooth operations
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and user guides
- Optimize existing integrations for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Stay updated with MuleSoft updates, new features, and integration trends, and share knowledge with the team
Qualifications
Here’s what you need
- 5+ years of experience in developing integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Proficiency in designing and building APIs (REST, SOAP) and RAML/Swagger specifications
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and best practices
- Experience with MuleSoft components, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Studio
- Proficiency in Java, XML, JSON, and data transformation tools like DataWeave
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating with cloud services
Bonus points if with
- MuleSoft certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect)
- Experience working with federal government clients
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
