Role Purpose
Aesop are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Launch Coordinator in a full-time role operating with a hybrid working pattern, based at our global head office in Collingwood.
Reporting to the Launch Manager, you will be responsible in executing product life cycle management and ensuring all information flows seamlessly between internal Aesop teams and contract manufacturers. You will plan, drive and project manage (from a manufacturing perspective) the introduction of New Products (NPD’s), reformulations, Raw Material Transitions and Packaging transitions.
In this role, you will prepare the required product set-up (or change) documentation, and maintain version control, as well as support the review of manufacturer documentation in collaboration with the Technical, Quality, and R&D teams. This role will also prepare product quotations to the contract manufacturers and perform COGs analysis for acceptance by internal stakeholders.
You will be key in maintaining oversight of timelines of each change to ensure on-time implementation.
Key responsibilities (not limited to)
- Work with product teams and manufacturers in Reform / Change / NPD System Set Up and maintenance (NetSuite, etc. - production fields)
- Compile all relevant Reform / Change / NPD Documentation for Set Up, both internally and externally at Manufacturers (including approvals).
- Review and approve documentation in collaboration with Technical / Quality, etc, where necessary
- Coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to plan Raw Material and Packaging Transitions, to ensure run-ins / run-outs are appropriately managed in consideration of inventory, financial, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adequate representation at all NPD/Reform/RMT meetings to ensure full scope is completed for each project
- Attend NPD meetings and feedback actions to contract manufacturers, Planning and Materials Planning team
- Ensure other manufacturing functions are adhering to NPD timeline and milestones
- Ensure that all product changes are handed over to the teams for their (e.g. Production and Material planning forecasts) tasks on time
- Flag any out of process orders or AF required in line with gate process
- Touch point with suppliers (CM and input material) for NPD/Reform/RMT supply challenges
What we are looking for
- Some planning experience, preferably within FMCG/Retail
- Project Management experience
- Exposure to FuturMaster / NetSuite preferred
- Strongly demonstrated analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate, analyse and present data in a meaningful way
- Consumer orientated and commercial mindset
- Pro-active self-starter
- Highly effective communicator, able to show empathy, active listening while being assertive and focus on short and mid-term interests
