IT Shipyard Services Lead

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced IT Shipyard Services Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and integrating digital systems within the shipyard, ensuring seamless operations. You will manage networks, IT/OT systems, industrial equipment, fibre optic backbone, data centre design, and the IT concept of operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our shipyard's digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement network infrastructure, including fibre optic backbone and industrial IT systems.
- Develop and manage IT/OT integration strategies for seamless operation.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of data centres supporting shipyard operations.
- Contribute to and maintain IT concepts of operations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operational teams to meet shipyard needs.
- Stay updated with advancements in digital technologies and incorporate them into operations.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in the maritime or shipbuilding industry.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA).
- Proven experience in network design, IT/OT integration, and data centre management.
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment and fibre optic infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance
