About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Production Charge-Up Operator to join our underground mining team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling, charging, and firing explosives in accordance with site policies and regulations.
You will play a critical role in ensuring blast areas are prepared, equipment is operated correctly, and reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
Success in this role requires a commitment to workplace safety, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. If you are an experienced underground miner with a BEUL licence, a strong safety mindset, and a drive for excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
Roster: 7/7 - Rotating Day/Night, 12 hours
Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW
Travel Options: Residential, DIDO

Qualifications and experience
Essential
- Minimum 4 years of underground mining experience, including charge-up operations
- NSW Blasting Explosives User Licence (BEUL)
- Security Clearance (UHL)
- NSW Working at Heights Certificate
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Positive and team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
Desirable
- Statement of attainment in Orica IKON (Electronic Detonator Initiation)
