About the role:
We are seeking skilled Drill Fitters who are motivated and excited to join our Maintenance Team as our Cobar Region operations expand, creating longer-term career options.
You will be responsible for carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, utilising your refined technical diagnostic abilities for our heavy-duty mining equipment. You will also effectively coordinate and schedule maintenance to minimise downtime to support production efforts. Your focus on safety and efficiency, as well as your commitment to living the values will place you in good stead for this role.
You will be required to work in all areas of the mine and be proficient in all aspects of safe production and development in underground mining.
About You:
Your previous experience in Sandvik and development and production underground drill maintenance experience will be pivotal. As well as:
- Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate.
- At least 12 months post trade experience in a similar role.
- Valid C class manual drivers licence.
- Strong knowledge of mining and safety regulations relevant to the role.
- Strong knowledge to undertake maintenance and repair of heavy-duty mining equipment and drills, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Solid fault finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently to ID and resolve issues.
- Attention to detail in accurately recording repairs and maintenance activities.
- Great communication skills and team commitment.
- Ability to work an 8/6 roster (12 hour rotating days/nights).
- Commitment to working safely, and living our Values to promote a positive, continuous improvement culture.
- Successful completion of pre-employment checks including medical, drug & alcohol testing, Australia police checks and qualification checks.
- Current right to work in Australia.
