About the role

The Senior Asset Engineer on the Smart Networks Program will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and optimization of innovative infrastructure solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that drive the future of network systems.

As a Senior Asset Engineer, you will manage and oversee the lifecycle of critical IoT assets, ensuring their performance, connectivity, reliability, and compliance within the evolving smart networks landscape. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, technical experts, and external stakeholders, to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

This program of works is crucial to our Strategy 2030, one that will guide how our network operates and allows Barwon Water to continue to provide secure water services into the future.

About you

Leveraging your engineering expertise and asset management knowledge you will ensure optimal performance of our device fleet and alignment with the goals of our smart networks initiatives. You will work closely with broad stakeholders, championing smart networks across Barwon Water and implement advanced solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.

With a keen interest in emerging technologies, a strong understanding of device lifecycle and asset management practices, you thrive provide solutions to complex problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be fairly autonomous in this role and seek external resources to help guide the way.

Your qualifications in engineering, technology or science will be tested in the impactful role. You will combine your qualification with an understanding of device lifecycle and asset management principles and have a passion for transformative programs. With excellent communication skills and a ability to influence, this role will be full of innovation and creativity.
