Portfolio Practice Lead
About the Role:
As our Portfolio Practice Lead within our Strategy & EPMO, you’ll be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs that align with our organizational goals. Reporting to our Head of Strategy & EPMO, and leading a team of seasoned program and project managers, you will ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired outcomes. Your role is integral to the successful execution of our strategy and the delivery of key projects.
Your day to day duties will include:
- Program Delivery: Oversee and ensure that allocated programs are delivered within agreed timeframes, budgets, and scope, with appropriate governance of any variations.
- Program Documentation & Governance: Ensure program deliverables align with business requirements and that any deviations are well-documented and managed.
- Resource Management: Take responsibility for managing program resources, including capacity, skill, and capability, while overseeing commercial aspects like contract and supplier management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project sponsors, Strategic Leads, cross-functional teams, and project managers to define scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and benefits for new initiatives within the EPMO.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor your team of project managers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the EPMO portfolio.
About You:
- Proven experience in end-to-end leadership of program and project management teams.
- Significant background in program delivery or a similar role, with a deep understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMBOK, Agile).
- Ability to manage a diverse team across multiple functions to achieve outcomes and deliver on time.
- Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with diverse groups, including executives, vendors, and subject matter experts.
- Influencing & Facilitation: Proven ability to influence and facilitate the development of business cases, requirements, and project documentation with input from diverse stakeholders.
- Results-Oriented: Strong focus on delivering quality results and meeting deadlines.
