THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Principal Environmental Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing environmental programs to ensure CS Energy complies with regulations, minimises our environmental impact, and fosters a culture of sustainability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess, monitor, and improve our environmental performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage environmental risk and compliance, including audits and incident investigations.
  • Manage amendments to Environmental Authorities and permits held by CS Energy.
  • Coordinate environmental training programs and environmental awareness communication tools.
  • Assist with cultural heritage work programs, compliance audits, governance activities and performance reporting.
  • Complete internal and external environmental governance and performance reporting.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate requirements for our AS/NZS ISO 14001: 2015 Standard for Environmental Management Systems certification.
  • Represent CS Energy in meetings with organisations and industry bodies.
  • Provide support and advice to operational sites and a diverse range of Future Energy projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of environmental innovations, legislation, and best practices, disseminating updates to stakeholders.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity in our Brisbane office located in a brand new office space in Fortitude Valley.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role you will have the following:

  • Degree level qualifications in a relevant field of science, environmental science or environmental engineering.
  • Drivers licence.
  • Knowledge and understanding of environmental practice, programs, legislation and management including the AS/NZS ISO 14001: 2015 Standard for Environmental Management Systems.
  • Proven hands-on environmental management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a range of environmental functional specialists and multi-disciplinary teams.
