THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant while on shift, demonstrating strong ownership and personal contribution.


Your duties will include:

  • Perform hands-on operation of the plant focusing on safety and reliability.
  • Manage the Permit To Work (PTW) office and requirements after hours as necessary.
  • Perform maintenance tasks and plant rectification within your skill set, knowledge, and qualifications.
  • Obtain High Voltage Switching authorizations and perform switching tasks if you are an electrically qualified PCO.
  • Undertake additional duties such as PTW management, maintenance assistance, training, or project-related work.

This is a permanent, full-time position at our Kogan Creek Power Station, working a shift roster.

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Boiler Advanced and Turbine Operator certificate
  • Trade qualifications (advantageous)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operating thermal generation plants
  • Comprehensive understanding of a Permit to Work system and associated protocols (You will be required to perform all PTWO and SPTWO duties within CS Energy)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels across the company
  • Ability to work unsupervised and proactively, using a high degree of initiative
