What's on offer?
We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced National Engineering Manager within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business with flexibility to be based in either VIC, NSW, QLD or SA. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to drive your career further. You will provide leadership, support, strategic direction and management oversight of the technical engineering function for our water projects in order to achieve business goals and objectives.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Participating in major tenders to develop win strategies.
- Overseeing all design planning, integration and engineering activities and approvals to ensure the technical solutions provided are consistent with project brief, budget and program to meet client expectations.
- Providing guidance and direction on tender and governance review processes to identify and propose remedies to manage technical risk.
- Supporting the regional engineering teams to establish their engineering strategy and ensuring alignment across the teams.
- Driving advanced engineering techniques, concepts and approaches to complex engineering problems, with a focus on industry best practice as well as innovative technologies.
- Evaluating engineering and design risk and proposing/implementing mitigation strategies to eliminate, reduce or manage.
- Reviewing and approving project plans and specification requirements on financial, technical and operational matters.
How you'll connect to the role:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or similar.
- Minimum 10 years' experience as an Engineering / Construction / Works Delivery Manager or similar.
- Significant experience in successfully delivering multi-discipline projects - in particular, water projects in an engineering leadership capacity.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to drive team objectives and engage with key stakeholders and clients.
- Possession of the experience and knowledge to understand and manage technical risk.
- Skilled in developing and executing short- and long-term strategies.
