HR Advisor

Salary range $89,558 - $110,146 plus super

Who are you?
Your experience in HR along with a strong customer service focus will set you up for success in this role. Your experience will include:
- Experience working with operational areas of the business
- Job design and evaluation, ideally using the Mercer CED framework
- Ability to work with geographically dispersed stakeholders and employees
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills including with external parties such as tribunals, advocacy groups, and unions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with capabilities in presenting information to large and diverse groups of employees and leaders
- Australian drivers licence and ability to travel to our sites
- Being comfortable navigating the ‘grey’ and devising fit-for-purpose and employee-focused solutions

About the role:
To put it simply, you will be responsible for providing generalist HR advice to employees and leaders within Hydro Tasmania group, in consultation with the People Partner team. This role will utilise your customer service and communication skills to provide advice and guidance to ensure an excellent employee experience.
As a HR Advisor at Hydro Tasmania, you will:
✓ Assist the HR Business Partners, leaders, and employees with generalist support and advice through your demonstrated experience of interpreting relevant legislation, industrial instruments, and policies for tailored advice
✓ Support people leaders with HRIS management processes and ensure the quality and compliance of HR documentation
✓ Support other projects and initiatives which contribute to achieving our strategic objectives, including identifying opportunities for contemporary practice

We have two roles currently available with slightly different focal points. We have a permanent position available that predominantly supports our Assets and Infrastructure business unit and a fixed-term position which supports the other business units, with support from the broader People Partner team.
