The Role:

Are you passionate about the Transport, Built Environment, Energy, and Water sectors, and shaping a sustainable future for our communities?

We are seeking an experienced Principal Project Controller who has a passion for Scheduling and will work on a range of projects for government and institutional clients across Transport, Buildings, Infrastructure and Water projects.

As this is a key role, you will be providing oversight on our major project commissions and be responsible for influencing, implementing, and advising our clients to help them deliver outstanding infrastructure.

You will have an eye for detail and be able to follow procedures, requirements and rules while maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information. Operating as part of the wider project team you will use a high level of initiative and ability to organise and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of customer service.

In this role, you will develop and manage design and construction schedules, collaborate with global teams to enhance scheduling capabilities, contribute to the development of digital project controls, deliver detailed analysis reports, engage in Project Control Governance, and handle Schedule Risk & Opportunity Management.

About You:

We are seeking a highly qualified Principal Project Controller (Scheduler) who has a proven track record of handling large projects within engineering consultancies and construction firms. The ideal candidate should possess a willingness to explore and embrace technological advancements in Project Controls to optimise project performance and efficiency.

Candidates should have substantial experience working on significant engineering projects and alliances involving multiple partners.

To qualify for this role, candidates must hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Commercial Management. Mastery of essential software applications such as MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera (P6), and MS PowerPoint is mandatory. The successful candidate should demonstrate exceptional report writing skills with a high degree of accuracy.

Moreover, a solid understanding of Earned Value and its application within Engineering projects is crucial.

Candidates with experience in conducting Project Control systems reviews and needs analysis will be favourably considered.

The role also demands the ability to comprehend complex contractual requirements to ensure compliance and successful project outcomes.
