Who we're looking for:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, entry-level Assistant Accountant whom is ready to develop their career as part of our Regional Accounting team.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information regarding cash flow, accounts payable, monthly reconciliation and forecasting, as well as any other related documents, to key stakeholders and clients. This critical data will support important decision-making within the business. Additionally, you will collaborate regularly with project sites, NSW construction staff, the corporate finance team, and our accounts payable team based in Victoria.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely and accurate preparation of purchase orders, sales invoices, and related documents for construction projects.
  • Assist with bank reconciliation allocations.
  • Daily cash flow updates and forecasting, reviewing payments and receipts.
  • Develop monthly reconciliation reports.
  • Oversight and management of the FBT information worksheet.
  • Update the Bank Reconciliation and cashflow forecast.
  • Miscellaneous accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Alongside our accomplished team, you will be mentored and guided across the fundamentals of day-to-day Accounting for a global construction business. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience and critical knowledge early in your career. The ideal candidate will be completing studies in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and eager to work in an Accounting / Accounts Payable position. You should be confident using Excel and other related programs, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll need to collaborate and connect with the wider team. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is eager to hit the ground running and ready to learn from those around them!
