Northrop Grumman Australia partners with the Royal Australian Air Force to provide through-life support for its fleet of C-27J Spartan Airlifter aircraft. The C-27J complements the Australian Defence Force’s existing Air Mobility fleet and provides airlift of people, equipment and supplies to support Humanitarian Disaster Relief and crisis response in Australia and nearby regions.


Your Role
As the C-27J Engineering and Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading the programs engineering team focusing Continuing Airworthiness activities, You will also:

  • Develop strategic, tactical and operational deliverables across key milestones and subsequent execution plans to ensure Northrop Grumman meets performance expectations of our customer
  • Be accountable for the delivery of Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) services (CAMS), Design Organisation (DO) services, Military Type Certificate Holder (MTCH) services.
  • Coordination of tasks/planning with other departments where necessary for tasks that have interdependencies with stakeholders outside of engineering (e.g. supply, field service or supply)
  • Support Risk Management activities through provision of timely information regarding current activities

Working closely with the Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional collaboration, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the execution of key program milestones.

About you

As an experienced Engineering Leader, you will have experience working with in a Through Life Support orgainsation and have

  • Engineering or Technical Equivalent Degree Qualifications
  • Experience in leading large geographically disbursed teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong understanding of entire product lifecycle and engineering best practices including delivery of Continuing Airworthiness (CA) service
