About the Role

As Assistant Treasurer, you will play a key role in Pacific National’s Treasury operations, ensuring financial stability and efficiency. Reporting to the Head of Treasury & Insurance, you will be responsible for overseeing banking relationships, debt management, and risk mitigation strategies. Your expertise will support engagement with investors and rating agencies, execution of financial transactions, and compliance with treasury reporting requirements. You will also contribute to financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, and strategic refinancing activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing relationships with banks and overseeing ~$1.75 billion in bank debt facilities.
  • Supporting the management of ~$4 billion debt book, including investor engagement.
  • Executing foreign exchange, money market and interest rate transactions to manage risk.
  • Overseeing treasury reporting and ensuring compliance with financial obligations.
  • Preparing financial models and presentations for investors, banks, and rating agencies.
  • Managing treasury systems and supporting strategic funding initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you have at least 3 years’ experience in a corporate treasury role within a large complex organisation. You will bring a strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

In addition, to be successful in this role you will have:

  • Expertise in managing financial transactions, including money markets, FX, and interest rate swaps.
  • A deep understanding of corporate debt management and capital market issuances.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to financial risk management and reporting.
