As a Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer, you’ll help find clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know. Here’s how:

  • You'll provide design services in the disciplines of substation primary design. You'll bring your knowledge, experience and design capability to support our exciting new projects with your expert technical leadership.
  • You'll produce civil and structural designs to meet project outcomes
  • You'll ensure designs and associated activities provide value for money, are cost efficient, constructible, on time and on budget whilst complying with approved procedures
  • As a Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership and support, coaching and training for the team.

What you’ll bring

You will have significant experience in civil and structural infrastructure design, or in HV substation design (110kV, 275kV and/or above). You will have technical experience, knowledge and design capability in any or all of the following:

  • Earthworks, roadworks, platforms
  • Foundation designs for HV substation infrastructure, including HV electrical equipment, control buildings in different ground conditions
  • Drainage systems, cable trenches, conduits
  • Transformer enclosures, noise walls, foundations
  • HV Substation Structural steelwork
  • Gantry structures, tubular beams and poles

You will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil / Structural ) and be a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
