The opportunity:

The Project Management Framework Specialist plays a critical role in advising the Major Projects division on best practice Project Management and Business Management systems and frameworks. Ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices, you’ll be responsible for developing and continuously improving the comprehensive documentation and process architecture required for the management of the division, and the overall Major Projects portfolio. Working closely with the Business Systems Lead, you’ll ensure that documents meet the business needs and contributes to the successful delivery of major projects.

You’ll be managing information from various stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and division objectives, and validating Project Management Framework procedures and templates.

You’ll enjoy working in a collaborative and consultative style, driving continuous improvements by identifying enhancement areas, tracking industry innovations, and responding to regulatory changes. You’ll lead technical document enhancement and reviews, facilitate improvement sessions, and communicate revisions according to Document Management protocols.

The people you'll join:

Based in our Bowen Hills office and reporting to the Business Systems Lead, you’ll join the Major Projects Office team, who are responsible for ensuring the success of Powerlink’s major projects through effective governance and assurance - unleashing our strategic objective to become a leading developer, safely delivering complex and significant CAPEX projects over the next decade.

This team has established a dynamic culture of innovation and excellence, where each member’s unique expertise is further enhanced by a focus on collaboration and team delivery, ultimately leading to the collective success in mastering mega projects.

What you'll bring:

You’ll bring proven success facilitating and leading reviews of systems, project management tools and procedures. Additionally, you’ll demonstrate strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to implement new frameworks and processes.

With a deep knowledge of project management standards and tools, you’ll foster productive relationships with project delivery stakeholders to understand requirements with curiosity, implementing new approaches that create ongoing value. You’ll have a working knowledge of project management frameworks and familiar with PMI standards such as PMBOK.

Your proficiency in Microsoft Office products and SharePoint, EcoSys or similar applications, will enable you to develop project management documentation and foster continual improvement.

You will have a bachelor degree in business or project management or a lower qualification in a related discipline coupled with substantial experience in project management and the development of business systems.
