About the opportunity:

Our Finance team have an opportunity for an individual to join our team in the capacity of Tax Manager in our Pacific Zone of Australia and New Zealand.

Functional reporting to the Head of Taxation, Pacific and based in Macquarie Park NSW, as the Tax Manager you will collaborate with the Australia based tax team together with offshore teams including New Zealand, to ensure tax compliance is met throughout the Pacific zone.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance obligations, including income tax, GST, FBT and payroll tax
  • Manage transfer pricing compliance and reporting obligations
  • Manage preparation of tax effect accounting calculations/income tax provisioning and update quarterly reporting pack to Head Office
  • Research and keep abreast of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and assist with provision of general tax advice
  • Provide support with projects as required
  • Ensure policies and procedures are maintained, adhered to, and continually enhanced to mitigate tax risks across the business
  • Assist with timely and accurate responses to information requests from Revenue Authorities

About you:

To see success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate 5-7 years of experience in tax within an ASX top 100 business or professional services, including proficiency working in Australian and New Zealand tax compliance covering income tax, GST, FBT, payroll taxes in both chartered and corporate settings and with consolidated tax groups.

Your personal drivers and professional confidence will be supported by a CA or CPA qualification and your desire to work for a value-based organization with leading edge solutions.

Key skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in technical taxation knowledge with ability to identify and interpret tax law in a complex business environment
  • Mastery of systems, analytical tools and data management, advanced MS Excel
  • SAP & CCH Global Integrator / Tax Integrator experience preferred but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer focused and a commitment to thriving within a team environment
