The opportunity:
Join us in this full-time role with family-friendly hours, conveniently located in one of Melbourne's most beautiful areas. As a General Hand/Memorial Installer - Crematorium, you will oversee and manage the cremation process, ensuring the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing documentation. Your responsibilities will include the removal and installation of memorial plaques, cremated remains, cemetery plaques, and concrete and granite bases. Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders is a key aspect of this role. Key Responsibilities:
Verify the accuracy of all documentation before initiating cremation procedures.
Install various types of memorials, including cremated remains, granite, plaques, and bases, ensuring precise placement.
Remove memorials due to cancellations or the end of tenure, leaving the area orderly and neat.
Clean and handle plaques post-ACM (Asbestos Containing Material) removal, adhering to ACM protocols and procedures.
Ensure all equipment remains operational and clean, promptly reporting any malfunctions to management.
Operate company vehicles or machinery as part of the position.
Conduct and follow the cremation process, from receiving coffin/or casket to the collection of the cremated remains.
About You:

An Australian drivers licence
The confidence to independently navigate and operate computers, specifically the MS Office package - Word, Outlook and Excel.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
A comprehensive understanding of WHS and Risk policies and procedures.
To be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings, as needed.
