About the role
We are seeking a Transport Planner (Intermediate or Senior level) to join our Transport Planning and Advisory team in QLD to work on a range of exciting projects in Queensland. You will be responsible for undertaking a range of responsibilities, from problem solving and innovation, information analysis, report writing and client engagement and liaison.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the foremost traffic and transport experts in Australia. Your role will also involve working across disciplines within our transportation team including engineering, design and analytics.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Deliver variety of transport planning projects that include active and public transport, precinct and corridor master planning, transport and traffic operations, network studies and transport infrastructure planning
Support the team as a transport planning technical specialist
Prepare transport planning and multi-disciplinary proposals and feasibility studies
Provide technical guidance with regards to transport planning and engineering solutions for our clients and contractors.
Support stakeholders and clients throughout proposals and projects
Advise in relation to compliance with regulatory requirements, innovative solutions and industry guidelines
Manage projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget meeting all deliverable requirements
Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and work with an energetic and motivated team of professionals in a supportive and encouraging environment
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Town Planning or a related discipline (ideally with a Traffic/Transport major)
Minimum 5yrs of previous transport planning experience
Experience working with QLD local government and Department of Transport & Main Roads (TMR)
Ability to engage effectively, be hands-on and driven to deliver, especially government projects
Ability to describe complex transport issues in an easy to understand and presentable manner
Desire to work across multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in data extraction, evaluation and analysis
