About the role

This is a full-time opportunity located at Tarong Power Station near Kingaroy.

The Civil Engineer will provide civil and structural support to Tarong Power Stations. This role is responsible for providing effective asset management of Stanwell’s plant through planning, development and implementation of appropriate engineering asset strategies, policies, systems and procedures to ensure the integrity and performance of the site’s civil assets.

Key activities include:

  • Evaluate civil infrastructure and determine modifications to improve safety, integrity and cost reduction
  • Stewardship of plant management strategy documents in accordance with business objectives
  • Liaise with stakeholders and prepare submissions for regulatory bodies
  • Complete asset inspections to determine condition and complete condition reports
  • Provide civil engineering support to OPEX and CAPEX projects

About you

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from an institution recognised by Engineers Australia
  • Knowledge and application of risk management practices and processes as applied to power generating (or large civil) assets and project management
  • RPEQ registered in civil or structural engineering or working towards registration with BPEQ
  • Eligible to apply for membership with the Engineers Australia
  • Current Driver’s Licence
