About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you play a key role in delivering world-class events for Tennis Australia (TA) and the Australian Open (AO). In this fast-paced, hands-on position, you will collaborate with the Event Manager and various internal teams to ensure the smooth planning, coordination, and execution of events across multiple locations. You’ll be responsible for overseeing procurement, managing logistics, maintaining budgets, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders.

In this role, you will:
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of Tennis Australia (TA) and Australian Open (AO) events, ensuring objectives, budgets, and timelines are met
- Manage event budgets, including financial feasibility assessments, purchase orders, and post-event reconciliation, ensuring accurate expense and revenue tracking
- Oversee on-site logistics, including supplier coordination, venue setup, catering, and event operations for smooth execution
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including marketing, partnerships, and external partners, to align on any contractual commitments, event goals and ensure successful delivery
- Conduct post-event debriefs to gather feedback, implement improvements, and ensure efficient event wrap-up
- Use project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) to track progress, monitor milestones, and assist in post-event reporting
About you
What you will bring to the role:
- Demonstrated experience in event management or a similar role, with a strong ability to deliver successful events while working under pressure
- Sound knowledge of operational procedures in audio-visual, production, catering, creative theming, and sourcing entertainment/talent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders and suppliers
- Ability to oversee the safe and efficient bump-in and bump-out of events, managing logistics and event setup
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Preparedness to be flexible regarding working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
