About the Role:

Ventia are currently seeking to engage an experienced Site Supervisor for our Defence Base Services contract in Katherine NT. This role would see you based at RAAF Base Tindal. Your primarily responsibilities would be to providing a high level of customer service, managing key stake holders as well as supervision and co-ordination to the building trades to effectively maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment within the Defence contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First response coordination and on-site ground control of emerging Estate Upkeep outages impacting Asset availability.
  • Supervision and oversight of Estate Upkeep Subcontractors as required.
  • Implementation and issuing of the Ventia Permit to Work System. Site auditing of work activity safety documentation and conduct of Operational Process Confirmation as required.
  • Participation in Subcontractor and Project Management Quality Control activities, including validation of work scope completion and value for money assessments.
  • Provision of site access coordination, including inductions, access to drawings, maps, and escorts for Subcontractors.
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate on-base liaison and relationships with key Client and Customer representatives.
  • Ensure all information regarding works is entered into relevant systems in a timely manner.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Infrastructure Services Manager.

Skills & Experience

  • Trade or tertiary qualifications
  • Experience in managing and leading trade teams, subcontractor and estate upkeep related services and personnel are considered highly desirable.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to interact collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and maintain positive relationships with Client and Customer.
  • Strong understanding of project management and/or service delivery principles
  • Proficiency with use of Microsoft Office packages and ability to learn/use computerised software.
  • Proficiency in the Permit to Work System, and qualifications in at least one high risk discipline would be highly desirable.
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence

The incumbent to this role must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to a Neg Vet Level 1. As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
