About the role
As the Project Interface Manager – Operations, you will play a key role in supporting the success of V/Line’s Operations Group. Positioned within the Operational Interface team, this role will see you ensure smooth communication and coordination between V/Line’s Operations team and government transport agencies on projects where V/Line is a key stakeholder.
Additional Accountabilities Include:
Coordinating V/Line’s Operations Function engagement on projects led by government transport agencies, ensuring V/Line's interests are represented in project scoping and delivery.
Contributing to process improvements, including the standardisation of documentation, templates, and reporting metrics.
Ensuring V/Line meets its obligations under agreements with other agencies and projects, providing internal and external stakeholders with regular updates and information on project status.
Working with V/Line Project Directors, Project Managers, and Operations Senior Leadership to ensure project outcomes align with operational goals and requirements during delivery and commissioning.
Managing coordinated responses to project-related issues, ensuring approvals are obtained internally for an agreed V/Line Operations response to external projects.
Developing strategies and plans to manage project interfaces, addressing operational impacts, responses, and communications, ensuring timely project delivery.
About You
You will bring experience in supporting operational projects, enabling you to assist V/Line’s Operations Group in meeting its objectives and requirements. Your proactive, detail-oriented, and consultative approach will be key to successfully delivering project goals.
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Proven experience in supporting operational projects, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and communication.
Expertise in reporting, including data gathering, analysis, and effective presentation of findings.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to senior leadership in a professional and approachable manner.
A solid understanding of the V/Line network and rail procedures, ensuring effective identification and support of project needs.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, from senior leadership to front-line staff.
