This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #PressforProgress. Together with Endorsed Employer for Women NAB, we are shining a spotlight on the progress we’ve seen in sport lately.
“Did you know participation in sport has a direct link to boosting career opportunities and progressing into leadership roles?”
We asked Australia’s athletes to share their advice on how they created a connection between sport and leadership. Throughout March, we are sharing their insights and also celebrating women who balance sport and working with Endorsed Employers for women.
If you haven’t already, please check out our social media channels LinkedIn | Twitter | Facebook for inspiring updates or find them all on DCC’s Press for Progress campaign page.
We are also excited to host the DCC & Tech Girls are Superheros annual Superhero Daughter Day events across Australia and in Auckland, NZ to celebrate International Women’s Day with our future female leaders! With the help of the wonderful volunteers and supporters, girls aged 5-12 across Australia and in Auckland, NZ will explore the exciting world of STEM together with their parents and carers.
“I went to the DCC & TGM Superhero Daughter Day at Adelaide University and enjoyed the experience with other enthusiastic superheroes plus my Daddy. My favorite experience was programming the robots and seeing them follow my code, wow!”
Thanks Brad Hoppo (aka Sith Lord) and Monique (aka Bat Girl) for sharing your experience at #SuperheroDaughterDay18 at University of Adelaide on Saturday! More pictures from all our events will be uploaded on Facebook.
Please join the conversation as we #PressforProgress this International Women’s Day.
We look forward to seeing some of you at the events and wish everyone a fantastic International Women’s Day!
