We are seeking an NGS Scientist to join our Cambridge, UK team to support optimization and implementation of a high throughput workflow for cell line validation. In this role, you will use cutting-edge sequencing technologies, liquid handlers/automation, robotics, analysis software, high throughput next generation sequencing (NGS), etc. to validate a variety of edited cell lines (mammalian cell lines, primary and potentially iPSC cells of varying tissue origins including immune and neurological). This unique and exciting role within Abcam seeks to push the boundaries of laboratory automation to perform complex molecular biology techniques at industry scale backed by a brand-new team at Abcam.

The Scientist role is laboratory-based and will provide opportunities to learn and apply a combination of OMICS, molecular biology, and NGS sequencing analysis/bioinformatics techniques while obtaining practical experience in high throughput/automation pipeline/workflow development, global product development/expansion, and development of expertise in cell line engineering across a broad array of cellular models/therapeutic modalities (immuno-oncology, cancer, neuroscience, etc). As a collaborative, matrixed work environment you will accomplish your goals as a part of a multidisciplinary cell line engineering team within the greater Abcam family.
