Business Unit/Role Specifics

As a participant of our Graduate program,you will have a unique opportunity to accelerate your growth and skills as a Service Assurance Engineer.

Working in our Mission Control organization, you will be essential in providing enterprise services to ensure high levels of product availability for the customers and partners of American Express.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Onboarding new technologies
  • Observability
  • Drive Issue Resolution - triage, troubleshoot, resolve
  • Lead teams as needed to drive resolution
  • Incident Communications

Preferred Qualifications

As a recent Graduate we understand that you won’t have significant experience in industry. We are looking for ambitious & talented individuals that share our company’s value to always do the right thing for our customers, to win as a diverse and inclusive team that respects each other and our differences. Successful candidates will have:

  • Some understanding of performance troubleshooting and tuning. As well asimplementing high availability solutions like Always on, Clustering, Mirroring etc.
  • A desire to increase their DevOps knowledge for highly available IT infrastructure and building live production APIs and services.
  • An interest in automation development.
  • Some familiarity with Agile or other rapid application development methods.
  • A determination to gain hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have earned a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline in the last 2 years or have a graduation date of June –September 2025
