Introduction to role:

Join our dynamic team at AstraZeneca as the Global Candidate Experience & Onboarding Lead, Talent Acquisition. In this role, you will be responsible for the global strategy for Candidate Experience (CX) and Onboarding – impacting all moments that matter and ensuring an inclusive experience from Attraction through to Day 90 for all hires/internal moves globally.

Accountabilities:

You will develop and own the global strategy for Candidate Experience and Onboarding and oversee the operational delivery within these areas. As the main point of contact and subject matter expert, you will interact/partner with stakeholders across the Global HR community and the wider organisation to embed our principles and global standards for CX and Onboarding. You will also support the identification of improvement opportunities across all stages of the candidate journey and drive holistic improvements to CX, leveraging data and insights to measure the impact of these efforts. You will also play a leading role in enterprise-wide programmes to deliver world class Candidate and Onboarding experiences which will include change management, process optimization, operating model design and technology implementation.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Leadership in a global environment in a HR or Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence

  • Strong knowledge of Recruitment systems, processes and workflows which impact CX

  • In-house recruitment background with strong experience and track record in implementing CX enhancements

  • A digital first mindset with a strong understanding of technology implementation and continuous improvement

  • Strong project and change management skills with experience delivering global programmes

  • Strong networking, relationship building and influencing skills – able to operate at a Senior level and globally without authority

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience developing engaging and impactful insights and analytics

  • Experience of working within a complex global matrix environment

  • Strong communication skills with experience in training and presenting

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent

  • Experience in a dedicated Candidate/Employee Experience role

  • Experience managing a team (both directly and indirectly)

  • Experience within an operational Talent Acquisition role

  • Experience in the Pharma/Life Sciences sector

  • Knowledge of Design Thinking Methodologies
