What you’ll do

We now have an outstanding opportunity to join the Strategy Implementation & Business Transformation (SI & BT) group as Senior Director playing a key role in leading enterprise change projects, working with leaders across SET areas. The SI & BT Group sits within Global Portfolio and Project Management (GPPM) and owns the implementation of enterprise strategy. The group is accountable for management of SET-endorsed groundbreaking projects on a global level. When needed, the group provides tactical leadership to their area of responsibility on execution against agreed strategic targets.

As we take the next steps in transforming our organization with Generative Artificial Intelligence, in this highly visible role, you will apply your expertise in multi-disciplinary project team leadership and deep experience in leading change initiatives in digital technology and AI. Your portfolio of project management skills consist of not only excellent leadership capabilities but also change management, core finance, eye for improvements and an analytic approach to problem solving. You will also ensure that we continue to develop and maintain a culture of inclusion, speak up and development within our SI & BT function.

Responsibilities:

  • Program manage, lead, and/or drive enterprise-wide transformation projects that affect multiple SET areas, with an initial focus on generative AI

  • Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders to find opportunities for delivering projects more efficiently as well as solutions that are suitable for the wider organisation

  • Lead and coordinate activities to assure delivery towards the agreed target project scope

  • Share outcomes of strategy implementation and transformation projects

  • Maintain a high degree of understanding and awareness on project- and change management theories

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential for the role:

  • Master´s degree or higher in a relevant subject such as life science, economics, business, or similar

  • 10+ years’ experience in life sciences management or strategy consulting or technology or a fast-paced development setting, with experience in business planning, operations and strategy

  • Proven track record of managing high-profile projects, including digital technology and AI

  • Strong team leadership skills that include ability to set-up and run high-performing multi-disciplinary teams

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to influence decision makers on all levels

  • Ability to succeed in an environment that often involves ambiguity

Desirable for the role:

  • It is desirable if you have experience from drug discovery and development
