Accountabilities:

As a Senior Manager, you will support the development, implementation, and delivery of AstraZeneca’s global indirect tax compliance and risk management strategies. You will ensure AstraZeneca meets all its global indirect tax compliance obligations across all jurisdictions. You will manage indirect tax relationships with external advisors and service providers, support the business with managing indirect tax audits, and drive efficiencies in indirect tax processes. You will also provide advice on the indirect tax mappings and system setups in various systems and partner with the wider business to enhance and develop successful long-term relationships.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • International VAT compliance experience preferably Manager level at Big 4 or equivalent in-house.

  • Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) alongside the ability to collaborate well in large teams.

  • Ability to manage and lead numerous complex projects and assignments.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams in a timely manner.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Recognized professional tax qualification e.g. CTA, chartered accountant, ACCA.

  • VAT experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience using SAP and tax engine.
