Quality Engineer - Supply Chain
Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area
Salary - £37,860 - £47,000 (dependent on experience) plus allowances
Closing Date - 10th October 2024
You will be working as part of an established team, providing Quality expertise to support the certification of products from our Supply Chain. Working collaboratively with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
Other duties include;
- Product Certification of materials including reviewing suppliers documentation against technical requirements.
- Carrying out Verification and Validation activities including Destructive and Non-Destructive testing using Test Plans (ITPs) and/or Quality Control Plans (QCPs).
- Maintain, review and report non-conformance, analyse data, share trends, drive continuous improvement and share best practice.
- Provide quality guidance and customer support ensuring that acceptance criteria are appropriate to scopes of supplier work, utilising Quality tools where appropriate.
- Attend design/technical/task and defect reviews as required to ensure Quality representation.
Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in a relative discipline and/or extensive practical experience with a strong manufacturing or process related background.
- Experience in product certification would be beneficial.
- Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, related standards and utilising a graded approach to Quality.
- Good understanding of configuration and change management techniques.
- Attention to detail.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good inter-personal/negotiation/communication skills working proactively with suppliers, building strong partnerships and supporting supplier development.
- Willingness to travel, if required for business purposes.
