Who are we looking for?
Due to internal promotion a vacancy has arisen for a Production Manager to manage our in house track maintenance team to deliver our maintenance schedule and repair plan for our internal and external customers. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our engineering management team and take responsibility for the delivery of safe, reliable, and cost-effective track maintenance to meet and exceed customer requirements.
On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:
- A mindset of “Safety First” and instil an ethos of continual safety and productivity improvement within your areas of responsibility.
- Proven leadership skills to enable your team to develop and work confidently under their own initiative with the ability to report accurately on their deliverables.
- A base knowledge of track maintenance and standards.
- Have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure, prioritising tasks and workload and managing conflicting demands by navigating complex problems and ensuring effective and sound decision making, systematically and under pressure.
- A strong commitment to providing quality work.
- A determination to grow, develop and improve your team.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Ensuring company policies and standards that apply to the inspection, maintenance, and repair of equipment or vehicles under the responsibility of the engineering production function are carried out with a high level of management control.
- Planning and delivering the planned inspection and maintenance works for our sites and ensuring defects are logged and repairs are planned in with minimum disruption to company business.
- Ensure the maintenance and repair records are kept up to date for compliance, audit and planning purposes.
- Nurture your team to continually grow and develop to improve the quality of service offered.
- Manage the 1st line on call team roster and be part of the 2nd line on call team.
