We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our People team as a HR Advisor – Attendance & Availability at our Stratford HQ.
The Role
An exciting full-time permanent opportunity has arisen for an EHR Advisor specialising in Attendance & Availability to join our team. The ideal HR Advisor will have experience implementing HR policies and procedures, reviewing medical reports, and supporting managers with action plans. They should be adept at providing general HR guidance in line with established policies, and possess effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. This role requires confidence in engaging with all levels of management within the organisation, coupled with strong organisational skills and the ability to take initiative.
Attention to detail is crucial, as is the capability to support in managers with written communication and checking letters for compliance with processes. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, prioritise their workload, and deliver HR policy workshops. A strong work ethic, resilience, strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and flexibility is required, alongside the ability to manage conflicting priorities on a regular basis. The individual will already be working as an HR Advisor or have gained relevant experience that demonstrates the key qualities to support the GA Business Partnering team effectively. They will assist managers with all attendance-related activities, tracking cases diligently and proactively communicating feedback to the Senior HR Business Partner and management on case statuses.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated colleague who has or is pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Human Resources, particularly in attendance management and employee welfare, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex data to provide clear, actionable insights. Effective interpersonal skills are essential, as this person will collaborate with senior leaders, managers, and front-line colleagues. They should possess the capability to learn and adapt quickly, showcasing a solid understanding of complex employment terms and conditions.
Resilience and flexibility in responding to changing circumstances and workplace dynamics are crucial. Additionally, the candidate should have a understanding of employment laws related to attendance and termination processes, along with knowledge of settlement agreements and the ability to negotiate them as required. Experience in conducting welfare visits and performance management discussions with sensitivity is also necessary. Familiarity with HR software and attendance management systems will be beneficial.
