Digital Ticketing Manager
We are the UK's largest railway operator, managing Southern, Thameslink, Great Northern and Gatwick Express, in total 239 stations.
We are currently looking to recruit a Digital Ticketing Manager who possess the following:-
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Ticketing Manager with expert knowledge in digital products and digital retailing solutions to join our team at Govia Thameslink Railway. As a key role for the business, the Digital Ticketing Manager will be responsible for driving the development and adoption of digital ticketing channels and will play a crucial part in wider industry reform and the future of rail ticket retailing for GTR and the wider industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital product management, preferably within the transport sector or a similar industry, and a proven track record of delivering positive change, cost savings, and increased revenue and ridership.
As the Digital Ticketing Manager, you will be a key figure in driving forward the adoption of Smart media and APPs and migrating customers from conventional ticket channels to these innovative solutions. You will work closely with the strategic development for both retailing products, but most importantly revenue, and be responsible for managing suppliers to formulate agreed programmes of work to introduce new cutting-edge ticketing solutions to enhance the customer experience.
Can you bring the following to the role?
Knowledge / Skills & Experience
- Degree level education or equivalent, with a professional qualification.
- Significant experience in retail system management and innovative digital ticketing solutions.
- Key focus on digital transactions, WebTIS and apps, rather than conventional at station retailing channels.
- Understanding of Smart media technology (ITSO/Barcode ticketing), as well as other retail systems and APPs.
- Strong project management, organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to work to multiple deadlines, multitask, and prioritise.
- Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level with industry stakeholders.
- Experience in developing team members and succession planning.
