This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business.

As an Analyst in Investment Banking Coverage for Central and Eastern Europe (“CEE”, excluding Russia and Turkey), you would be to assist on execution, marketing and coverage work for e.g. public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across all industry sectors, equity capital markets advisory on various types of capital raising transactions such as listings and rights issues across the CEE region together with other colleagues from the team, as well as colleagues from various industry and / or product teams across regions. We value your strong skills in investment banking and look forward to seeing you grow and take on more responsibilities, including generating and executing your own transactions.

Job responsibilities

  • Support on execution, marketing and coverage work across industries and products
  • Conduct research and analysis of market data and companies
  • Support preparation of client presentations
  • Perform valuation analyses (e.g. based on multiples, DCF, LBO, etc.)
  • Build detailed and complex financial models
  • Execute transactions from pitch to close (e.g. public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across all industry sectors, equity capital markets advisory on various types of capital raising transactions such as listings and rights issues across the CEE region, etc.)
  • Lead execution functions and in working with junior analysts, incl. supervising the work performed by junior analysts on certain of the aforementioned tasks

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Relevant Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience, with good knowledge about the transaction cycle of relevant investment banking products
  • Outstanding analytical, financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail , organizational skills and time management
  • Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment
  • Ability to work self-directed and independently and to multitask on numerous assignments
  • Proficiency in MS office applications, profound knowledge of customary investment banking databases (FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.)
  • Fluency in a CEE language and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
