Job Summary:

Do you have a passion for helping developers? Within CIB Developer Solutions we are helping to enable our 18,000+ technologists to drive application modernization efforts across CIB. We are creating solutions that help our highly technical audience be productive through tooling, knowledge sharing and developer enablement.

We need someone who is passionate about technology, and equally passionate about helping others.  If you’re someone who lives for learning, is active in the broader tech community, and above all else put developer experience first, we want to hear from you.  You will build working relationships with our senior leaders and engineers, understand their business and technology domains and needs, and encourage the use of the right tools through different channels. This is a high-profile role, engaging with and influencing the developer experiences of an organization encompassing thousands of technologists.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating, and helping support the creation of blog posts, videos, documentation and other related artefacts
  • Coming up with, running and supporting initiatives to raise the awareness of CIB products
  • Community engagement and outreach

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Strong communication skills that can adapt the message based on the audience. You’re able to reach out and engage with technologists at all levels across different channels. Please share your portfolio on application
  • Experience of organising/assisting with events and initiatives, such as meetups, conferences, meetings, etc.
  • A background in a modern application language with hands-on experience
  • Confident understanding of systems design, modern software development best practices and architecture
  • Above all, a desire to help others by sharing your knowledge and experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Practical experience of working with a public cloud platforms like AWS
  • Working knowledge of containerisation and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes etc.)
