If you want to be responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of the governance frameworks that ensure that the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) is able to comply with UK client asset rules set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and outsourcing requirements set by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), then this is the team for you!

As a CASS & UK Outsourcing Accountability, Governance and Risk - Associate within the CASS Governance & Oversight team, you will be responsible for the oversight of the CASS accountability model, production of CASS and Outsourcing Board and Committee reporting and performance of the CASS risk map. You will work as a part of the team who focuses on the design and implementation of the oversight framework for CASS rules requirements within the CIB, ensuring the CIB’s Client Asset Oversight Officer (CAOO) and relevant Senior Management Functions (SMFs) are able to deliver on their regulatory responsibilities. You will work closely with Operations, Business and Product Management spanning all lines of business across the In-Scope Legal Entities. In addition, you will partner with Compliance, Audit and Risk.

Job responsibilities

  • Oversees the accountability model across the team and relevant lines of business in relation to CASS
  • Produces regular reporting material for relevant Boards, Governance Committees and senior management
  • Oversees the performance of each legal entities CASS risk map
  • Builds strong and collaborative relationships with CASS Accountable Managers across multiple lines of businesses to ensure they have considered and addressed the risks in relation to CASS
  • Works with the CASS Governance & Oversight Team and the lines of business to identify and manage key CASS risks in a timely manner
  • Assists with any ad hoc CASS tasks or projects when required

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize effectively
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of the various components of the CIB e.g. how its various functions and businesses are organized
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and ability to drive change
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment and to work under pressure to set deadlines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of the CASS rules would be advantageous
