Develop & Support our Sales Department
As a Learning & Development Team Leader, you will be working with our leadership team, internal stakeholders and external training providers to deliver a variety of learning initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional individual to provide full learning and development support in a strategic area of our business.
As a Learning & Development Team Leader, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing a team of four across our Marlow & Manchester office, supporting existing programmes, managing team projects, setting and tracking of individual objectives, and mentoring/coaching
- Being the strategic lead for the Sales departments development strategies and being the main point of contact
- Assessing, developing and improving training content & deliver this through regular internal and external benchmarking
- Collaborating with HRBP, Recruitment & Induction team to identify & deliver a range of L&D interventions across Sales department employees
- Working closely with the leaders in the business to ensure the sales programmes are meeting the needs of our business
- Assessing the best methods for assessing employees at different stages of Sales programmes and presenting ideas and proposals to senior management
- Delivering training material to groups of people with enthusiasm, whilst also supporting a team-wide initiative to drive a culture of self-responsible learning and support the adoption of our internal training platform
- Developing our mandatory training process for the Sales Team and confidently presenting ideas and proposals to senior management
- Supporting the Head of Learning and Development with the team budget and effectively measure success of learning investments made.
- Working closely with the L&D Coordinator to schedule L&D initiatives
- Building relationships with external L&D providers and support design stage by ensuring the training has the ‘Softcat' touch
What we need from you
- Demonstrative experience in a Learning and Development mentoring or a management role
- Exposure of working in a Sales or supporting sales teams is desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Be able to deliver an engaging learning experience through classroom based learning, workshops, online and one-to-one coaching
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with different personalities across the business
- Be able to work on deadlines whilst maintaining a focus on quality work
