The Commercial Operations Program team at Softcat is the powerhouse behind the successful delivery of vendor programmes. They will evaluate and ensure that each programme not only aligns with strategic objectives but also brings tangible value to customers and impacts Softcat positively. With a keen focus on governance, the team effectively manages interconnected projects, guaranteeing that programme execution meets the highest quality standards. They are adept at resource allocation, risk mitigation, and financial management, all while providing detailed reports to stakeholders. Their commitment to continuous improvement and gap analysis drives innovation, making recommendations that enhance vendor programme effectiveness. Programmes looked after by this team will include, but are not limited to; large investment agreements, end customer funding, partner competencies / specialisations & the Softcat Vendor Framework.

Driving Vendor Excellence & ensuring Effective Framework Utilization and Scalable Success

As the Vendor Framework Programme Manager, you will develop and maintain Softcat's vendor framework, ensuring effective governance. You will be responsible for evaluating the framework's suitability and importance, collaborating with various teams for successful utilization and reporting, and building processes for consistency and scalability.

As a Vendor Framework Programme Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Summarizing key benefits and complexities to support evaluation of vendor contribution and access
  • Regular reporting to senior stakeholders and leading QBRs for framework development
  • Adhering to governance, managing execution, ensuring quality, allocating resources, mitigating risks, and providing regular status reports
  • Overseeing budget, ensuring financial objectives are met, and assessing profitability
  • Improving processes through innovation, identifying gaps, and making recommendations to relevant teams

We'd love you to have

  • Proven experience in programme qualification and management within technology or sales is essential
  • Strong leadership and success review skills
  • Analytical skills for reporting and identifying improvement areas
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Strategic thinking in risk assessment, resource allocation, and commerciality
