About the Role
Base Location: Aberdeen, Inverness or Perth
Salary: £45,400 - £68,200 + up to 10% performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The Connection Offers Team Manager will report to the Head of Customer Experience. The Connection Offers Team Manager will share responsibility with the other members of the Customer Management function for the implementation of the Customer Strategy and action plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- The primary function of this role is to ensure exceptional customer experience and compliance with licence and code requirements in the pre-application and offer stages of the customer journey.
- Engagement with stakeholders at all levels across SSEN Transmission, customers including the Electricity System Operator and the regulator.
- Responsible for delivery of Transmission connection offers including pre-applications and feasibility studies, managing a team of Connection Offer Managers responsible for a portfolio of high value customer connection offers.
- Ensure delivery of connection offers against licence timescales and customer satisfaction that meets regulatory output targets.
- The connections process is undergoing a period of significant industry reform to enable Transmission Operators to provide a service which will be crucial in achieving GB Net Zero ambitions. This role is pivotal in helping to shape and implement these reforms to remove barriers to timely customer connections to the Transmission network.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- An understanding of the GB Networks businesses gained in a commercial, regulatory, technical or legal environment.
- Experience in dealing with external stakeholders including network licensees, developers and key industry bodies.
- The ability to network both internally and externally to facilitate the development of stakeholders and key industry influencers.
- Experience of delivering within challenging timescales, with the ability to effectively prioritise, plan and organise, balancing immediate and longer-term business priorities.
- A proven track record of challenging the “status quo”, proposing imaginative, appropriate solutions and implementing innovative business improvements.
