As we chart our course to a Net Zero world, the way we use energy is changing. The engineering, environmental and economic challenges that we all face mean that society needs innovative solutions, like renewable energy, electric vehicles, heat networks, community energy and energy storage plus the systems to make these solutions deliverable.

This change is altering the role of electrical networks, and at SSEN Distribution, our Modelling and Reporting team has the specialist technical capability and experience to undertake the system studies required to identify constraints on the current and future network, maintain the models, processes and systems to deliver exceptional customer journeys for system data. The role also ensures that safety, security of supply and performance of the network is maintained in accordance with statutory, regulatory and licence requirements in the most economic, efficient and co-ordinated manner.
