About the Role

Location: Reading, Thatcham, Havant, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Perth and Inverness

Salary: £62,324 - £71,370 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role of a Lead Full-Stack Developer plays a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of applications and infrastructure to facilitate speedy software development and deployment. With a unique combination of technical support and IT operations, they ensure that critical applications and products are consistently improved and updated to align with business requirements. They will also help to identify and resolve complex incidents and problems while devising technical solutions that cater to the needs of the business.

You will be:

- Designing, developing and maintaining web applications (Python & ReactJS) across the business, focusing on Azure functions, APIs and application integrations.

- Coaching and leading by example within the continuous development team to add value to our products through development and release processes.

- Being a technical lead by turning the product backlog into workable solutions inline with, or via change of, the system design. Working with the team to define, develop, test and deliver business outcomes.

- Defining, implementing and maintaining development standards in line with specifications.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would need you to have:

- Strong experience with designing, building, and operating solutions using Azure cloud technologies: Azure authentication products, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Function Apps, Azure Blob storage, Azure Active Directory and App-Insights.

- Exceptional programming, troubleshooting and analytical skills - following strict coding practise with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures.

- Hands-on experience with Python: developing and supporting function apps/web applications, familiarity with a microservices architecture and solid experience of building APIs, experience working with EventHub and NoSQL (Preferably Cosmos).

- Experience in continuous improvement and operational support roles - with full end to end agile product delivery lifecycle (including incident lifecycle) experience, must have the ability to investigate and analyse information with strong technical Debugging skills to find the causes of any production issues and to draw conclusions.

- Good knowledge in ReactJS is preferable but not mandatory.
