An exciting career opportunity to join our Energy Systems team for an experienced Energy Performance Analyst on their journey to Net Zero. As a passionate and innovative team, culture is at the heart of everything that we do. A key part of the role will be to make energy efficiency recommendations to our commercial customers through the completion of energy audits, and support SSE Energy Systems in achieving our Energy Efficiency obligations through the monitoring, verification and reporting of commercial projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering onsite energy audits to customers from a broad range of industries, with strong understanding of different industrial mechanical and electrical systems
  • Undertaking the measurement and verification of energy savings resulting from a wide range of energy efficiency projects across commercial and industrial setting.
  • Analyse data and develop different methods to validate savings, such as carrying out regression analysis and normalisation of data using Energy Performance Indicator (EnPI), with the knowledge to explore alternative methods for verify savings.
  • Understanding customer energy requirements, identify and prioritise energy saving and renewable energy opportunities for commercial customers.
  • Project Manage and coordinate of the delivery of projects with other SSE businesses and external partners.
  • Build strategic relationships with clients taking them on journey from supply customers to net zero partners.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Qualification in Energy Management: International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP®) (Certified Measurement & Verification Professional/Certified Energy Manager), Third Level Qualification.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience of analysing and interpreting large amounts of complex data, and communicating findings in report format
  • A proven ability to articulate technical information to non- technical clients and stakeholders
  • Experience of working within an energy performance/energy management/energy consultancy environment and current legislation relating to the role
  • Due to the nature of the role and the need to visit remote locations a Full Drivers Licence would be required.
