About the Role
Base Location: Peterhead Power Station
Salary: £47,600 - £71,600 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time | Flexible First options available.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Engineer (Control & Instrumentation – Cyber Security) to join our Thermal team based at Peterhead Power Station. Reporting into the E, C & I Lead Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and support across the station within your area of expertise and ensuring management plans for station assets meet company objectives in terms of SHE performance, cost, reliability, efficiency and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain & execute asset management plans for the allocated assets e.g. Distributed Control System, Continuous Emissions Monitoring System, PI Processbook & Instrumentation Systems inc. Field Equipment. All in line with Cyber security guidelines and standards.
- Determine the maintenance strategy for the allocated assets and create and maintain the necessary preventative and predictive maintenance tasks in Maximo. Specify and maintain spares stockholdings for assets in your area of responsibility. Contribute to FMEA, RCM and other asset related studies identifying issues and specifying corrective action. Supervise site works for execution of projects and asset related tasks. Carry out RCA on plant failures and carry out rectification as required.
- Provide technical oversight and support across the station within your area of expertise. Provide the link between the station and external technical experts, e.g. central Engineering, Generation Development and OEMs. Example Systems: T3000, Envirosoft, PI Processbook, Beran, Zoom, BVM etc. Supervising and executing repairs on site.
- There is a general responsibility to maintain compliance with legislation, in addition you may have responsibility for maintaining station compliance with specific areas of legislation relevant to the role.
- Manage revenue and capital projects in your area of responsibility complying with the company project management and plant & process change processes.
What do I need?
To be considered we would love you to have:
- Degree qualified in an applicable engineering discipline or relevant experience.
- Skilled in Control & Instrumentation Field Equipment, Distributed Control Systems e.g. T3000, Intouch, Osisoft PI and various control techniques.
- Proven track record of plant troubleshooting & preparation of work packs for execution.
- Experience of Cyber-Security/Digital Engineering in an Operational environment, preferably within the Energy Industry and understanding of the regulatory requirements for OT Cybersecurity.
- Experienced using computerised maintenance management systems, preferably Maximo.
