About the Role
Base Location: Glasgow or Perth
Salary: £47,600 - £71,600 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Our Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Finance Manager to join the Renewables Financial Control team based in Glasgow/Perth. Reporting directly into the Renewables Financial Controller and working closely with the Project Finance Director you will lead and develop the Project Financial Control team. As part of this key role you will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of all aspects of general accounting, period end closing and reporting activities, and delivery of reporting information to the SSER Commercial Finance team and JV partners to provide updates on financial performance and provide additional insight through reporting and commentary as required. The role will involve working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, focusing on establishing best practice in reporting and processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning all aspects of financial management and control for the project including the month end, half year and year end processes. This will include the preparation and review of both the management and statutory accounts, preparing audit papers as required and ensuring that the accounting policies are compliant with IFRS.
- Managing, developing and coaching the JV accountants and analysts providing support and leadership as required in respect of technical accounting matters and new and emerging accounting standard impact analysis.
- Producing presentations and communications on project financial matters for stakeholders as required, including reporting on the construction budget and carrying out analysis of variances and impact of changes.
- Managing the process for drawing down funds from senior lenders and shareholders, engaging with third party project finance lenders where appropriate.
- Managing the project's tax advisers as well as coordinating any tax or accounting advice to support the needs of the project's commercial and finance teams.
What do I need?
- Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with good working knowledge of IFRS & FRS 101.
- A keen eye for detail and clear understanding of financial controls.
- Able to manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously whilst maintaining high standards, as well as being proactive and inquisitive with a passion for delivering change.
- Flexibility to respond positively and accurately to key stakeholder requests.
- Experience of leading and coaching is preferred but not essential.
