The Scotland England Green Link project portfolio (EGL) is a multi-billion-pound programme and will play a critical role in the achievement of the UK's net zero targets, connecting the low carbon electricity resources in the north of Scotland to demand centres in the south.

SSEN Transmission is looking for a Governance, Assurance & Performance co-ordinator to support these critical infrastructure projects and play a key part in achieving Net Zero targets. This is a new position providing support on the effective running of the Governance & Assurance process, assuring the quality of delivery across the EGL portfolio. This position will report into the Governance, Assurance & Performance Lead.

Key responsibilities of the Governance, Assurance & Performance co-ordinator include:

- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders and contractors relating to all logistics and coordination of Governance meetings and build and maintain relationships with contractors to ensure support on required Governance meetings and wider project events.

- Reporting and analysis of contractor and project KPIs for reporting to the relevant board meetings.

- Provide support across the various Board and Governance meeting scopes across the EGL portfolio, acting as a key focal point for associated projects and personnel.

- Support on the development of the Governance & Assurance SharePoint site to ensure project delivery meets its governance requirements.

- Create and maintain a calendar of key meetings for the upcoming 18 months and organise and facilitate these with direct ownership of the Key Action Register (KAR).

What do I need?

- Experience in project development and delivery with knowledge of developing and maintaining governance in a regulated environment.

- Demonstrable experience of managing key documentation processes and identifying efficiencies.

- A proactive and innovative working approach and positive influencing skills with the ability to find answers within a diverse, engineering-focused organisation.

- Ability to manage complex requirements of conflicting needs with experience of the reporting and management of requirements that come with such a role.

- An understanding of supporting in developing project assurance processes and programmes, an understanding of FIDIC contracts would be valuable.
